11.1.2 Planning Data form changes continued…..

Continuation of the previous post on Data form changes……

So I created Sample Basic application in Planning and decided to try the new features of Planning 11.1.2….

The very first difference that you’ll see while creating a Webform is the new look and feel.
You can now choose the type of Webform from here (Simple/Composite – will explain about composite webforms later).

From Next screen onwards the difference is more significant (more user friendly)!!!!!!

Now you can drag and drop dimensions anywhere (Rows, Columns, Pages) from Point of View and back…. (I was dragging Product while taking the screenshot 🙂 )

Member Selection is made more easier (just right click on the Select Member area)

So I completed my Webform and that’s it….. 😉

Now you maybe wondering…..is this the new change……(I think you missed something in the screenshot)

Yes at the bottom right corner, it says Validation Rules……(This was available with the previous versions….but then you should know javascripting, create a file, name it as ValidateData.js and keep it on the server).

So in 11.1.2 instead of creating a Validation logic from backend….now a User(who does not know java scripting!!!!!!) can write a rule…..

More on Validation Rules, ValidateData.js (Previous releases data validation) and composite Webform later…..I know this is a lengthy topic……but bear with me…..
