Probably you may have faced this issue and thought that it is the feature (this is how it works).
Even I thought the same way. The Explore option in Workspace is no longer available.
There is one component that many people forget to install (thanks to the drastic name changes made by Oracle ;)) is,
Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Reporting and Analysis Core Components Release 18.104.22.168.0 (V20841-01).
However even after installing it I was not able to get the Explore option. Then after long troubleshooting I found that this version has to be started in an order, also you have to wait for around 3 mins for Foundation services to be up and running.
So I created a bat file with introduced wait, and thought of sharing it with you all. You can download the file from here.
I’ve used date.exe for adding the date into log file you can download the exe and the dll file required if you need it. Keep the dll file and exe in same location.
Please don’t forget to customize the service names and log locations as required.
Check the log file to see if the one of the service errored out. If one of the services didn’t start then you’ll have an error message in the log, please increase the wait time in the script by changing the choice command
choice /T 10 /D y > nul
This introduces a wait of 10 sec
After using this bat file I got the explore option back in Workspace.
